Inspired by a quiet winter walk in the New Forest, this painting captures the moment three white horses emerged from the shadowed trees and wandered into a nearby field. On a day wrapped in greys and muted tones, their luminous coats seemed to glow against the landscape, majestic, almost otherworldly.
Winters White Horse is one of three in this 'Winter Horse' series and is the only artwork in the collection created on paper, giving it a unique softness and delicacy.
