Hampshire born Jo Rose’s artistic journey began as a BA student of Makeup and Costume design at London College of Fashion where she started a successful illustration brand from a market stall in Camden. Her creations graced the shelves of many department stores, included Liberty, Selfridges, Harrods, and John Lewis. Her freelance works include artistic projects with children’s TV and puppetry, to album cover design for music artists signed to Warp Records.​

Nominated for the Henries Most Promising Artist award, and recent winner of Children’s Media Conference’s,Put Your Money Where Your Mouth is, pitch award, Rose’s high-concept arts and lifestyle brand attracted licensing agents globally.

Her impressive portfolio boasts collaborations with Annie, BAFTA and WGGB Award nominated Screen writers, Story Editors and Development Producers, along with King Rollo animation studios in the UK and GURU animation studios in Canada.​

At 48, this eclectic path, woven with the joys of motherhood, has guided Rose to her current role, working as a contemporary painter from her studio in the heart of Winchester city centre.
