.Inspired by a rainy day in March on Dartmoor, this painting captures a memorable encounter with a flock of Hebridean ewes emerging from deep green ferns. The intensity of the landscape, softened by rain and mist, created a scene of remarkable atmosphere and beauty. It remains one of my favourite places on Dartmoor and a source of continuing inspiration.
