I'm officially back in the studio today, although I must admit that Loki and I never really stopped creating over the Christmas period. Illustrating, painting and crafting critters is our passion, as is working together, so we just couldn't stop and have been busy working on new characters already and planning lots of exciting things to keep us busy over the coming year! We look forward to sharing these with you soon.
Our Christmas gift giving was an amazing celebration of small, local and handmade this year and we were delighted that our love for supporting small businesses and local artists was also shared and embraced by our family and friends. I was absolutely delighted to receive artwork and handcrafted gifts, including the sweetest whippet illustrations from @harriet_lowther and beautiful handcrafted wrist warmers from @kateboxknit .
We were so excited to gift our creative makes to our loved ones too, including some of our collaborated critter paintings and also some handcrafted porcelain garden birds and ducks, which we thoroughly enjoyed making. We may create more of these! ;-)
So today, although it's the start of a very strange and unsure week, I'm embracing the chilly weather and keeping positive in the only way I can, by getting cosy in my colourful knits and keeping happy with piles felt and brand new sketchbooks.
We wish you all a happy and healthy week ahead and I promise to post here again very soon with updates on our colourful and quirky critter news.
We would also like to say a great big Thank you for all your support over the past year, Loki and I really appreciate every follow on social media, everyone who subscribes to our mailing list and every order we receive from our etsy shop and online store.
Jo, Loki and Blue Dog X
