The past few days, I’ve escaped into the New Forest, wandering aimlessly and soaking up the inspiration that October brings. The energy of this time of year is something I can never get enough of—the rich autumn colors and the calming vibe make everything feel earthy, grounded, and tingling with possibility. I’ve always loved spending time alone in nature, letting my mind fill with ideas and my creativity flow (and occasionally chatting to the trees 😊). These moments are so magical and vital for my imagination.
I managed to capture lots of photos of the beautiful wild pigs, cows, and ponies. There’s something about these forest creatures this year that has completely captured my attention as an artist. I’ve found myself naturally drawn to painting them, along with the quiet stories they share with me.
This month has also been about getting organized (finally working through my to-do list, which often gets forgotten when I’m deep in a hyper-focused painting whirl!). I’ve started having my recent paintings from the past seven months photographed, all in preparation for updating my website and more. Plus, I’ve just launched a Patreon page! Moving forward, I’ll be sharing more of my art process, behind-the-scenes moments, and even this blog over there. Here’s the link, where you can join for free and follow along.
I hope to see you over there!
